Maia Edwards was just a normal schoolgirl living in the idyllic city of Elysium. It was a place that was kept safe from demons by the efforts of the angels of the city, the Guardians which enacted the will of the supercomputer Janus.

But her ordinary existence comes to an end one day when she is selected as the human partner of one of the angels – for the powers of the fearsome Sin Reapers they wield can only be unlocked by the presence of a human.

Maia soon discovered herself thrust into a world that she has only heard about – a world in which she will have to face demons and challenges that threaten to question the reality of everything she has ever known…
