Human sexuality is a great interest of mine as has been since my mid-teens, where I was first exposed to its dizzying complexity
via the Internet. It is affected by myriad factors – religion, society and biology, among others, and a favorite saying of mine is
that “everyone’s spirituality is unique, just like their sexuality.”
I’ve been studying it for 25+ years, and it still continues to fascinate me!
I’m a late in life queer person, having come out at 39. I knew since 11, but didn’t even have a word for it (which is why
education is important and is the focus of a lot of my work) I happen to have grown up in one of the most sex negative and repressive
countries in the world (and it still is) I’ve also known that I was polyamorous since 12, also having no word for it at that time.
I’ve had an interest in BDSM since 14, and “officially” the BDSM community when I was 33. Some of my material here is written
for that community and based on my interactions with it. I also didn’t really know what it was until I was exposed to some more
material…do you see a trend here? 🙂

I decided that in the spirit of authenticity to speak honestly about my sexual experiences – after all, I’m already writing about
my non-penetrative sexual abuse in my autobiography here. Kink has been a source of growth and healing for me, and I know I’m not the
only one to feel this way.
I was initially a little cautious about much I’ve written here (see “grew up in sex-negative country where gay marriage is illegal” above)
but ever since “coming out” in a variety of ways, the response has been very positive.
And well…you only live once, right? So I owe it to myself to be the best and most authentic version of myself possible – in ALL ways!
To do any less is selling myself and everyone else short. 🙂
